It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laton Wharton (Stanberry, Missouri), who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laton Wharton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Basha Wharton (Pierce) and Ted Wharton; his wife Louise; and his siblings, Ruby Bentley, Truman, Rex and Boyd Wharton.
He is survived by: his former wife Margie Thomas; his children, Rickey Wharton (Cleva), Richard "Dickie" Wharton (Mary) of Stewartsville, MO, Rita Mazurkewycz (David) of Clarksdale, MO and Basha Borden (Andrew) of Berryton, KS; and his sister Sharon Wharton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
