Courtney W. Goforth Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 26, 2022, at the age of 91, Courtney W. Goforth of Stanberry, Missouri, born in Guilford, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Emmett Goforth and Lula Kathleen Goforth (Wilson); his siblings, Marilyn Phillippe and Fay Denzil Goforth; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Houseworth-Agnitsch, Mauretta Houseworth, J. R. Baker, Larry Wiederholt and Charles Houseworth.
He is survived by: his wife Mariam Goforth; his children, Todd Wilson Goforth (Christine VanGundy) and Toni Leigh Goforth McLaughlin of Smithville, MO; his grandchildren, Collin Jeffery Goforth (Hillary), Alex Mitchell Goforth (Abby), Kyle Anders McLaughlin (Maddie), Grant William McLaughlin (Nicole) and Grace Andrea McLaughlin; his great grandchildren, Grady Courtney Goforth, Lilith Azalia McKinney and Koavu Rainer McKinney; his sisters, Wylla Dee Baker and Carol Charlene Wiederholt; his siblings-in-law, Loren Phillippe, Jim Houseworth (Tammy), Andy Houseworth (Mary), Tom Houseworth (Barb), Richard Agnitsch, Mary Jo Goforth, Mary Davis (Mike), Carolyn Houseworth and Elizabeth Walden (Ivan); and also Kent McLaughlin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Courtney and Mariam Goforth Scholarship Fund to benefit Stanberry R-II Students, Stanberry Senior Center, and/or Gentry County Library in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 153, Stanberry, MO 64489.
