He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Louis and Margaret Marie Assel (Ulferts); and his sister Helen White. He is survived by: his wife Donna Assel; his sons, Henry Assel, Jr. (Wendy) and Jason Assel (Michelle); his grandchildren, Zack, Wyatt, Marissa, Emma, Katie, Maggie and Aiden; and his siblings, Virginia Perkins (Raymond), John Assel (Cassie), Ethel Deweese (Ted), James Assel (Nancy) and Sam Assel (Cassie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
