He was predeceased by: his father Gerald G. Johnson Sr.; his stepfather Robert Eugene Mills; his sister Tammy Ballenger; and his close friend Ronessa "Neicey" Hicks. He is survived by: his mother Fannie M. Holt Johnson Mills; his children, Bryan Joseph "B. J." and Ericka Johnson of Kansas City; his stepson Timothy McMellen of Lexington; and his siblings, David Johnson, Terry Narron of Fulton, Gerald Johnson Jr., Kevin Mills of Marshall and Cheryl Schmidt of Omaha, NE.
