She was predeceased by: her father Benjamin Burns; and her sister Charlotte Smith. She is survived by: her husband Gerald McConnell; her children, Gregg McConnell (Jane) of Washington, D. C. and Diana McConnell of Sikeston; her brother Benjamin Ray Burns II of Jackson, MS; her grandchildren, Justin Morton, Kyle McConnell, William Cooper and Rebecca McConnell; and her great grandchildren, Lucas and Tobias Morton.
