She was predeceased by: her parents, John Myron and Ruth Pauline Chaney (Gladfelter); her former husband Kenneth D. Brooks; her spouse Thomas M. Strother, Jr.; and her sister Doris Katemann.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall Brooks (Debbie) of Sedalia and Kevin Brooks (Theresa) of Los Angeles, CA; and her stepchildren, Thomas M. Strother, III (Sandi) of Seneca, SC, Tracie Jamison (Walt) of Lawrence, KS and Todd Strother (Terri) of Cottage Grove, WI. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
