With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Alan Purvis of Sedalia, Missouri, born in Kirksville, Missouri, who passed away on August 8, 2023 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Dora Dean Penny. He is survived by: his father William Roscoe Purvis; his wife Betty Jo Purvis (McNary); his sons, Jeffrey Alan Purvis and Christopher Mark Purvis (Sarah Beth); his grandchildren, Isaac, Noah, Zach, Nevaeh, Zoey and Connor; and his siblings, Larry Purvis, Phyllis Purvis and Lynn Purvis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the John Birch Society and the Disabled American Veterans in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
