He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Starke and Mayme L. Starke (Smith); his wife Elaine Clarice Nelson; and his siblings, John "Bill" Starke, Clarence Starke, Mary Wallington, Mabel Pruitt, Gertrude Jennings and Grace Starke.
He is survived by: his children, David Starke (Heidi) of Windsor, Deborah DeGraff (Doug) of Lee's Summit and Steven Starke (Nopawan) of Sedalia; and his grandchildren, Chad Starke, Chrissy Starke, Matt Starke, Nick Organ and Mia Phutrakul. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
