She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Rue and Grace Mae Shelley; her husband Amos E. Franklin; her sister Virginia R. Howard; her daughter Betty; her son-in-law Dan Hern; and her grandchildren, Danny Hern, Melinda Hern Perez and John Hern.

She is survived by: her children, James E. Frankin and Carolyn Lee; and her grandchildren, Amy Dutcher (Darin), Emily Goodman (Scott), Brian Lee (Christina), Kevin E. Lee, Jean Wahl-Bejarano, Mary Garcia-Berjarno (Frank), Shirley Serrano (Eliaquin), Mike Hern, Rusty McPherson (Larry), Floyd Hern (Maria), Katherine Hern, David Hern (Tina), Angela Hern, Tracy Diaz (Max) and Daniel Jeremiah Hern. She is also survived by 65 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
