He is survived by: his wife Pat Akers of Salem, MO; his children, Jessica Akers of Salem, MO and Josh Akers of Salem, MO; his siblings, Erma Cooper of Pacific, MO, Dixie Otteson of Texas, Joan Bourn (Jim) of Texas and Larry Akers (Ruth) of DeSoto, MO; his brother-in-law Sam Hodges (Janet) of Salem, MO; and his granddaughter Jadelyn Woolf. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Jerry Akers to the American Cancer Society and left at Wilson Mortuary.
