With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Imogene Jokerst (Sainte Genevieve, Missouri), born in Perryville, Missouri, who passed away on April 30, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Earl F. Jokerst; her children, Geralyn Vaeth of Sainte Genevieve, MO, Gary W. Jokerst (Mary Beth), Celeste Lacy (Mike) of Pensacola, FL and Clare Schilly of Sainte Genevieve, MO; her sister-in-law Joyce Hennemann of Sainte Genevieve, MO; her siblings, Patricia Huber of Perryville, MO, Kenny Hennemann of Perryville, MO, Laverne Mehner (Wilfred) of Sainte Genevieve, MO, L'Wana Harlan (Ron) of Birmingham, AL, Mary Jane Raniszeski (Jerry), Melvin Hennemann Jr. (Sandy) and Steve Hennemann (Kathy) of Gilbert, AZ; her brother-in-law Warren Bequette of Granite City, IL; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Sloman (Chad), Jennifer Roth (Dewayne), Erin Flannigan (Derrick), Meagan Lacy, Danielle McKay (Tim), Jessica Hunter (Shad), Koltyn Schilly and Braden Smith; her husband Earl F. Jokerst; her son-in-law John Vaeth; her siblings, James Hennemann and Virginia Wood (Earl); her siblings-in-law, Rosella "Sis" Hennemann, Dale Huber, Marie Otte (Edgar E.) and Zita Bequette; and her father Melvin Hennemann, Sr.. She was also cherished by 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association of St. Louis or Reading Express Imogene graduated from St. Vincent High School in Perryville, MO at the top of her class.
