He is survived by: his parents, Rick Cooper and Jane Cooper (Gillespie); his children, KC Cooper (Alex), Jaden Cooper and Macey Cooper; his siblings, Shelly Merriam (Martin) and Randy Cooper (Lisa); his nieces and nephews, Austin, Kennedy, Elizabeth, Allison and Oliver; and his aunt Betty Douglass.
