He is survived by: his wife Diane McClintock; his children, Hugh Watson (Sallie Tulchin), Bill Watson and Kate McAllen; his granddaughters, Sarah McAllen Hicks (Craig) and Cassandra McAllen; his great grandchildren, Chloe Hicks and Elizabeth Cline; his nieces, Susan Usherwood and Sandi Pauhlke; and his nephew Ted Denson.

The family suggests memorial contributions to First Presbyterian Church, InterServ, or the Social Welfare Board.
