He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley A. McMurtrey and Margaret C. McMurtrey (Tracy); and his siblings, Dale, Lois and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Meredith Gentry (Chris) of O'Fallon, MO and Todd (Candace) of Douglas; his grandchildren, Lucas Gentry, Gia Gentry and Catrina McMurtrey; his brother Robert McMurtrey; his aunt Lola Tracy of Cameron, MO; and his nephew Ted (Gala Ellis).
