He was predeceased by: his parents, J. M. "Buddy" McKenzie and Virginia A. McKenzie (Stampley); his daughter Sheila; and his siblings, Yvonne, Gerald, Mike and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Lisa Hale (Johnny) and Phil McKenzie; his grandchildren, Brandon Hale (Ashley), Whitney Bowling (Jordan), Hannah Pessina (Jacob), Logan Hale and Halle O'Donnell; and his great grandchild Max. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
