She was predeceased by: her sons, Justin Hampton and Travis Pierson; her parents, John Helms Sr. and Helen Bowers; her stepfather Bill Bowers; her brother Jessie Helms; her brother-in-law Randy Bollinger; and her nephew Zachary Rogers-Helms.
She is survived by: her husband Dave Hampton; her siblings, Audria Bollinger and John Helms Jr.; her stepdaughter Elisa Browers; and her grandchildren, Christopher Higgins, Kayla Shook, Theresa Pierson, Alex and Austin Pierson.
