He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph Russel and Lola May Sanford (Coonis); his daughter Sherry Sanford; and his brother Boyd Sanford. He is survived by: his sons, Brian Sanford (Jamie) of Independence and Wayne Sanford Jr. of Springfield; his stepson John Thornburg (Tracy) of Kansas City, MO; his daughter Christine Cresyman (Chance) of Kansas City, KS; and his siblings, James Sanford (Theresa) of Kansas City, MO, Alma Sanford of Independence, June Sanford of Kansas City, MO and Fonda Sanford (Kawski) of New York. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, one great grandchild.
