She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Collins, Jr.; her siblings, John Hogan (Rose) and Francis Hogan (late Marilyn); her parents, Sylvester Hogan and Agatha Hogan; her uncle Edward; and her aunt Marie Houlihan.

She is survived by: her children, Anne Collins Goodyear (Frank), Maureen Collins Beekley (Todd), John Collins (Jane Manners) and Robert Collins (Colette); her grandchildren, Anne Beekley, Phineas, Asa, Aphra Collins, Georgia and Eleni Collins; her siblings, Ann Hogan Russek and S. J.; her cousins, Margaret Houlihan Oelze (Mel), Don Buettner (Peggy), Ken Buettner (Janice), Bill Fruth (Marina), Teresa Fruth, Tom Fruth, Rose Lehmann (David), Mary Lou Minks, Allen Minks (Connie) and Diane Ruhmann (Steve); her sister-in-law Diane Droste (late Donald); and her nieces and nephews, Thomas Hogan (Tracey), Mary Hogan, Kathleen Hogan Guillemette (Roger), Joan Hogan Romeo (Joseph), Michael Hogan (Robin), Bridget Hogan Milligan (Keith), Shannon Hogan Poindexter (Luke), Colleen Hogan and Kevin Hogan.

Due to Covid-19, facial coverings and social distancing will be required.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made in Mary's memory to the Ammon-Pinizzotto Center for Women's Mental Health at Massachusetts General Hospital.
