He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar D. Shilling, Sr. and Winifred Yost Shilling. He is survived by: his siblings, June Moore and Robert Shilling; his wife Velda Kelly; his children, Daniel Shilling, Donna Hooper (Jerry), Dana Bennett, Deann Daniel (Kelley) and Andre Camozzato; and his sister Dr. Linda Scorse (Daniel). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren plus 2 on the way, 1 great-great-grandchild.
Partnering with the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Smithtown, NY, he founded a Puppy Walker Program, allowing 4-Hers to raise puppies that became guide dogs.
