Ruth Ackerson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Ackerson of Raymore, Missouri, born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, who passed away on March 8, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harmon Finney and Eula Finney (Bazzell); her husband Bob Ackerson; her siblings, H. N. Finney, Jr. and Jane Williams; and her son-in-law Mark Spears.
She is survived by: her children, Gayle Spears, Craig, Todd and Kurt Ackerson; her grandchildren, Holly, Laura, Melissa, Scott, Chandra, Kip and Drew; and also Parker. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Maxine's Life will be held this summer after COVID restrictions are lifted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Wayside Waifs or to any "no kill" animal shelter.
