Peter Gibson Obituary

Peter Gibson, age 78, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2023 surrounded by family.

A Celebration of his life will take place at a later date and time.

Peter was born in Fulton, Missouri, on March 30, 1945, to Harry C. Gibson and Della Sheley. After graduating high school, Peter decided to service his country in the United States Army. In 1967, Peter went to work for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and Amtrak, retiring as a Railroad Conductor in 1993. After retiring from the railroad, Peter worked as a Correction Officer for the State of Missouri for many years.

In 2014, Peter reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Jade R. Towe. They were married on November 8, 2014.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Clara Sheley; and brother, Jay Philips.

He is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Jade R. Towe-Gibson and her daughter Jessica Towe; as well as Peter's three daughters (former wife Avon Palomares-Rivera); Mokihana (Gibson) Quirouet (Darren), Mailani Gibson-Bandmann (Kelii), Kanoelani (Gibson) Nitta (Gye); two siblings, Judith Shipstad and Paul Fowler; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
