He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford D. McNiel and Margie McNiel (Pouncy); and his brothers, Dean, Danny and Darrel McNiel.
He is survived by: his wife Billie McNiel (Burris); his sons, Donald McNiel II and Craig McNiel (Michelle); his brother Dennis McNiel (Susan); and his grandchildren, Taylor McNiel (Desirae), Amber McNiel and Courtney Hayslette (Kevin).
