It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Blodgett (Queen City, Missouri), born in Adel, Iowa, who passed away on May 13, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Main and Dolly Main (Myles); her husband Richard Blodgett; her siblings, Charles Main, Pat Hardan and Joyce Woodley; and her grandson Keith Allen Carolus.

She is survived by: her children, Pamela Harvey (Harold) of Worthington, James Carolus (Laurie) of Des Moines, Sherry Slaughter (Ronnie) of Queen City, Robert Carolus (Tina) of Miami, Ethlyn Thomas of Des Moines, Melvin Blodgett (Mickey) of Des Moines, Evelyn Jerde (Dennis) of Des Moines and Richard J. Blodgett of Des Moines; her sisters, Donna Schwab (Don) of Laguna, Virginia Nichols (Mike) of Saginaw, TX and Judy Berenking (Phil) of Mission Viejo; and her sister-in-law Lillie Elsea of St Charles. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
