She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Murfin and Opal Murfin (Elms); her husband Martin Alexander; her son Doug Alexander; her sister Marjorie; and her brother-in-law Dean Morris.

She is survived by: her children, David Alexander (Carol) of Troy and Louise Shaw (Rick) of DeSoto; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Kemp (Wade), Amanda DeGraaf (Corey), Anne Redmond (Kyle), Blake Shaw (Tessa), Rachel Shaw, Joseph Shaw (Caleena), Brandyn Wantuck (Miranda), Tia Labing (Teddy) and Corey Wantuck. She is also survived by twenty-four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

No doubt she is with Martin, smiling upon the legacy of strength, honor, mercy, love and grace that she instills in those that knew and love this precious soul. My condolences to the grieving family and friends that hold this precious lady dear to their hearts and must find a way to memorialize her life as a substitute for visiting her in her kitchen, living room or her family picture hallway.”
