He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Ross Patton and Walter Patton; his son Walter Van Patton; and his siblings, Odell, Pierce, Alfred, Burl, J. D. Patton, Opal, Hila, Minnie Alice, Ann, Laverne and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Darnall Patton; his children, Darla Craft (Gary) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Katina Wilson (Cary) of Pollard and Kimberly Collins (Tommy) of Wardell; and his daughter-in-law Loretta Patton. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
