He was predeceased by: his parents, Lottie Ann Krank and Frank A. Krank; his fiancée Juanita Haegele; and his son-in-law Eugene Crocker. He is survived by: his daughter Robin; his grandchildren, Scharlotta Dowler (Jonathan), Deloris Adams (Chris), Gwyndolyn Bookout (Cameron) and Rhodesanna Crocker; his great grandchildren, Collin Dowler, Josiah Adams, Landon Adams and Xander Bookout; and his brother Darrell Tharp of California.
