He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Arnold and Ruth Ann Hopkins; and his siblings, Robert, Charles, Dale, Iva Lee Black, Lenore Richardson and Carrol.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Arnold; and his children, Katherine Dangerfield, Carl "Charlie" Arnold Jr. and Joseph Arnold (Sandra). He is also survived by six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
