He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Ellen Yaqoob (Javad), Elmont, Gwen Simmons and Kathryn Phillips (Luther); his brother Larry Simmons (Daisy); his sister-in-law Joan Simmons; and his grandchildren, Sereena, Taniya, Caitlin and Shelby.
