He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Theodore and Vera Elsie Dean (DeGeest); and his former wife Peggy Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his brother Dale Dean (Lupe) of Oxnard, CA; his sons, Brad Dean (Penne) of Sioux Falls, SD and Brian Dean (Cindy) of Milwaukee, WI; his grandchildren, Robyn Emme (Nick) of Pierre, SD, Heather Aker (Erik) of Piedmont, SD, Allen Dean of Sioux Falls, SD and Ryan Dean of Waco, TX; and his nephews, Brent Jones (Kristina) and Jeremy Jones. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Platte City Friends of the Arts or The Farmer's House.
