He is survived by: his parents, Samuel Gowen and Elsie Faye Gowen (Smith); his children, Arvel Gowen Jr. (Misty) of Boaz, KY, Kathy Trimble (Roy) of Wickliffe, KY and Cheryl Gowen of Boaz, KY; his grandchildren, Tara Fulmer (Brian), Brittany Clark (Richard Keyser), Tayler Elder (James), Dillon Gowen, Katlin Gowen and Preston Gowen; his great grandchildren, Emrie Fulmer, Fraya Gowen and Ceyenne Elder; and his brothers, Sam Gowen (Mary) of Piedmont, MO, Albert Gowen (Faye) of Salem, MO and Jim Gowen of California.
