He was predeceased by: his father Rolla "Johnny" Claywell; his grandchildren, Bailey Williamson and Dakota House; and his sister Joann Sundhausen. He is survived by: his wife Ingrid Claywell (Romero); and his children, Robin Ballheimer (Mark), Leslie Steffens (Kent), Holly Underwood (Jason), Briana Dunn (Arron Eaton), Tressie Grogan (Emmie) of Martie Meyers, J. T., Alicia Storie, Chandra House, Kristen Renshaw, John Renshaw, Allison Sharp (Nathan) and Eduardo Cruz. He is also survived by forty-two grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center or Herod Cemetery, in lieu of flowers.
