He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wehmeyer and Florence Wehmeyer (Holzschuh); his daughter Cheryl Wehmeyer; and his siblings, Elvin Wehmeyer, Velda Branson, Wanda Haddox and Vivian Schulte.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Shanks; his children, Gary Wehmeyer (Laura Etzel) of Owensville and Tricia Ridder (Dustin) of Bay; his sister Norma Schulte (Elmer) of Owensville; and his grandchildren, Trace and Trigg Ridder.
