He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold J. Meder and Margaret D. Meder; and his friend Rich Starmann. He is survived by: his spouse Mariko K. Meder; his daughters, Barbara Kiel (Rich) and Carolyn Meder (Ron McCracken); his grandchildren, Anthony "Tony" Meder, Jeremy Kiel, Brandi Kiel and Brooke Kiel; and his siblings, Devane Nielsen (Phil) and Julianne Sesti (Steve).
