He was predeceased by: his parents, George V. Reader and Helen I. Reader (Essex); his brother Vincent Reader Jr.; his uncle William Averon Reader; and his aunt Maxine Schnackenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Reader; his children, Jennifer Peek (Mike) of Kansas City, Matt Reader (Mary) of Oak Grove, Ernie Stewart (Michelle) of Oak Grove, Ryan Luna (Olivia) of Oak Grove and Richard Luna of Holden, MO; his grandchildren, Mara, Max, Austin, Mattie, Jack, Tara, Courtney, Tyler, Kelsey, Mia and Richard; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Kensligh, Aubriegh and Aria.
