He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Griggs and Carmella Griggs of Holden, MO; and his brother-in-law Dave O'Dell of Shawnee, OK.. He is survived by: his wife Carol "Turner" Griggs; his children, Rick Griggs (Liz) of Peculiar, MO, Steve Griggs (Mandy) of Oak Grove, MO, Shannan Russell (Mike) of Oak Grove, MO, Sherry Bell (Austin) of Lenexa and Tammie McGautha (Dan) of Blue Springs, MO; and his siblings, Rita Warren of Conroe, TX, Eileen Odell of Shawnee, OK, Kathleen Miller of Harrisonville, MO and Kenneth Griggs of Roanoke, VA.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many cousins that he loved like brothers.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
