With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma J. Howlett of Oak Grove, Missouri, born in California, Missouri, who passed away on August 18, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James David and Beulah Mae Newkirk (Allee); her husband Wyman Howlett; her grandchildren, Craig Howlett, Michelle Howlett and Joshua Howlett; and her siblings, Margaret, Katie, Wilma, Shirley and Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. David Howlett (Elaine) of Lee's Summit, MO, Loyd Howlett of Blue Springs, MO, Kirk Howlett (Vicki) of Slater, MO and Beth Chesney (Mike) of Oak Grove, MO; and her siblings, Jody Blankenship of California, MO, Sue Nutt of Sedalia, MO and Jimmy Newkirk of Gravois Mills, MO. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren.
The family requests that attendees wear masks and practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church – Oak Grove Campus or to the American Legion – Oak Grove Post.
