Jeanne Perez Obituary

Jeanne Perez, passed away at home on February 15, 2022, surrounded by her large loving family who guided her home to the open arms of awaiting family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22nd at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Jeanne was born in Moberly, MO to Albert and Verna Duvall in 1938. The family later relocated to Oak Grove, MO, where they raised their children, with Jeanne graduating from Oak Grove High School in 1956. She met the love of her life, Louie Perez, and would spend the next 61 years of marriage in his loving care. Jeanne was deeply involved in the lives of her grandkids and became a fixture at Oak Grove sporting events cheering along and even giving a little coaching advice on occasion. She resided in Northeast Kansas City for many years before returning to her hometown of Oak Grove. Jeanne had a lengthy professional career in the banking and accounting industry before her retirement.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Louie Perez; brother, Jerry Duvall (Janet); daughter, Angela Sapp (Rob); son, Scott Perez (Denise); 6 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Johnny Reinbold.
