It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clay Barton (Oak Grove, Missouri), born in Clark, Missouri, who passed away on May 3, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Clay Barton and Dorothea Barton; and his brother Lanny Lee Barton. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Barton of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his children, Elizabeth Ubell (Brian) of Houston, Texas and Drew Barton (Tom Sullivan) of Chicago, Illinois.; his grandchildren, William, Andrew, Katherine and Cooper Sullivan; his sister Patricia Ivy (John) of Laurens; and his brother-in-law William Stone.
Due to guidance on gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will hold a private service at a later date which will be shared via video.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Community Services League of Eastern Jackson County, Oak Grove School District Education Foundation or Powell Gardens.
