With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Robert Hurt III of New Madrid, Missouri, who passed away on December 7, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hurt and Catherine Hurt; and his siblings, Ethel Hurt Newsum and Charles N. Hurt. He is survived by: his wife Lynnette Hurt; his children, Karen Bunker (Tommy) and Rob Hurt (Kim); and his stepchildren, Chuck Palmer (Sally), Ralph Palmer (Marsha), Laura Griffin (Scott) and David Palmer (Sheri). He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren.
