We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2022, at the age of 59, Richard Ira Bates of New London, Missouri, born in Hannibal, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Harry Thomas Bates; his great-grandparents, Gracey Bates and Eaf Bates; and his nephew Justin Bates. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Jean Barnes Bates of Hannibal, MO; his children, Sunshine Wheeler (Eddie) of Hannibal, MO, Rikki Bates (Kara) of New London, MO, Tyler Bates of Palmyra, MO and Tory Bates of New London, MO; and his brothers, Harry Bates (Patty) of Florida and Matt Bates (Angie) of Hannibal, MO. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
