He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Houchins and Olive Bagley Houchins; his wife Glenna Smith; and his siblings, Jay Houchins, Albert Gene Houchins, Anna Fay Wertz and Dorothy Dameron.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Ann Boswell (Gary) of Springdale, AR, Mark Houchins of Vandalia, MO, Dana Houchins of New London, MO and David Houchins of New London, MO; and his grandchildren, Amy Bruns (Terry), Leslie Kasischke (Kotter), Steven Houchins, Molly Houchins and Emma Houchins. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
