He was predeceased by: his parent Orval; and his siblings, Larry Day, William "Bud" Day, Marie Weaver and Nadine Hinkle.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Day; his children, Shelly Graslaub (Gary) and James Day Jr. (Tonya); his grandchildren, Joe Graslaub (Kacey), Matt Graslaub, Brianna Day, Nicklaus Day, Sadye Vollman, Trenton Vollman, Raina Vollman and Wesley Day; his great grandchildren, Tre Stewart and Kamdyn Graslaub; and his sisters, Hilda Thompson (Walter) and Maxine Crawford.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to Shriners Hospital of St. Louis in care of Schlanker Funeral Home.
