It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melba May Carrington (Mount Vernon, Missouri), who passed away on April 12, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rolla and Ruth May Jones (Burns); her husband Edgar Wallace Carrington; her children, Patty Garrett and Leland Carrington (Lee); and her brothers, John, George, Ray and Albert Jones.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brandy Garrett Kluthe (John) of Clinton and Bo Garrett (Anna) of La Cruz, Mexico; her son-in-law Butch Garrett of Springfield, Missouri; her great grandchildren, Luke of Clinton and Kira Kluthe of Clinton; and her brother Bill Jones (Marge) of Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, in care of the funeral home.
