He was predeceased by: his father William Andrew; and his wife Rose Ann Bacon. He is survived by: his son Andrew Bacon (Katie Clark) of Carl Junction; his grandson Ruari Bacon; and his siblings, Jerry Bacon (Patsy) of Joplin, Sally Martin of Pea Ridge and Patricia Ryan of New Hampton, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to the Missouri Veterans Home Assistance League in Mt. Vernon c/o the mortuary.
