He was predeceased by: his parents, Albin Gerhard Rakers, Sr. and Henrietta "Granny" Elizabeth Rakers (Diekmann); his wife Barbara Ann Rakers (Reilmann); his brother Roger Rakers; and his nephew Josh Rakers.
He is survived by: his children, Pat Rakers (Carlyn) of Virginia, Jackie Powell (Ronnie) of Montgomery City, Missouri, Robert "BJ" Rakers of Florida, Kevin Rakers of Utah, Bill Rakers (Robyn) of Nixa, Missouri and Michael Rakers of Pennsylvania; his granddaughter Sarah Beilke (Joseph) of Florida; his sons, Chad Powell (Anna) of Montgomery City, Missouri, Dawson Rakers of Nixa, Missouri and Tanner Rakers of Nixa, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Silas, Alva and Jasper Powell of Montgomery City, Missouri; his siblings, Henrietta "Sis" Rakers of Illinois, Tom Rakers (Sharon) of Illinois, Arlene Booker (Jim) of Virginia, Lester Rakers (Nancy) of Illinois and Sharon Gerstner (Ron) of Illinois; and his sister-in-law Gerry Knoepflein (Glen) of Montgomery City, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
