He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn. He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Embree; and his children, Diana Lynne Thomas (Hendrix) of Monroe City, Twila Jean Thomas (Ford) and Danny Thomas.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Monroe City Senior Nutrition Center.
