With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Lynn Johnson of Monroe City, Missouri, who passed away on May 31, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Lloyd Johnson and Mary Helen (Jarman); his stepmother Bertha Johnson (Bush); and his stepbrothers, John Bush and Joe Bush (Bud).

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Johnson (Murphy) of Monroe City; his daughter Mary Helen; his son-in-law Russ Schaible of Taylor Missouri; his daughter Jennifer Louann Freels of New London; his brother Lloyd Johnson (Mary Johnson) of Monroe City; his siblings-in-law, Mary Sue Johnson of Virginia and Charles Murphy of Monroe City; his grandchildren, Gretchen, Kayla, James, Samantha, Katherine, MacKenzie and Erikah; his siblings, Pearry Lee Johnson of Virginia and Helen Elaine Menger (late John A. Menger) of Hannibal; and his stepsister Mary Dooley (Teddy). He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
