He is survived by: his friend Julian Shoemyer; his children, Mechelle Sheffie of Aurora, Elbert Hutchins of Waterloo, Lisa Hutchins of Phoenix, Sheila Hutchins of Waterloo and Leslie Beaman of Waterloo; his grandsons, Tyrone of Waterloo and Tymaine Beaman of Waterloo; his wife Mae Beaman of Waterloo; his siblings, Meltara Thompson of Madison, Timothy Thompson of Chicago Illinois and Valarie Thompson of Peoria, Illinois.; and his children, Happy Thompson, Alice and John Duncan. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
