He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin and Marjorie Pearl Bartmess (Smith); his wife Lori Bartmess (Walitshek); and his granddaughter Angel Bartmess. He is survived by: his children, Justin Bartmess (Amanda) of Columbia, Christopher Bartmess of Bondurant, Michael Bartmess (Renee) of Jetmore, Kasha Brown (Scott Lohsandt) of Fulton, Angela Brown of Columbia, Zachary Bartmess of Des Moines and Cody Purdy of Milan, Missouri; his grandchildren, Owen, Olivia, Finley, Kelan, Hayden, Addison, Veronica, Remington, Warren, Wulfric, Johnathan, Jada, Brianna and Christopher; his siblings, William Bartmess (Carol) of Haskell, Oklahoma, Rejina Lewis of Foyl and Beverly Noble (Randy) of Albany, Missouri; and his aunt Thelma Lee Martin of Paloma, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Scobee Cemetery.
