He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Lee and Annie Adele Smith (Meador); his wife Julia K. Doerge; his sister Loretta Lynn Smith; his grandson Kurtis Smith; and his great grandchild Erica.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Shawn, Orion, Darrell Smith, Dayton Durham, Jessica, Miranda, Brandon and Darrell Williams; and his great grandchildren, David, Emily, Elizabeth of Lexus, R. C., Anthony and Isabelle.

Memorials may be given to the Rush Hill Community Church.
